For the past 28 years, The Dickens Christmas Show has provided a shoppers dream built around a 25 five foot Victorian Christmas Tree. Inspired by Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol”, this 19th century holiday marketplace brings the magic of Christmas transporting attendees back to olden days of yore. Eager shoppers stroll down snow laden streets, experience period-clad vendors hawking their wares… everything from fine arts, crafts, imported gifts, toys, gourmet foods, clothing, and much more; All found amid an elaborate display of Victorian Holiday Décor, three dimensional London Row Houses and lively entertainment. Young and old enjoy Punch and Judy Shows, strolling minstrels and you may encounter Victorian street urchins, all adding to the mirth and merriment of the Holiday Season. Truly something for everyone.
In keeping with the true spirit of Christmas, the show offers numerous charities and non-profit organizations an opportunity to participate. Their unique fundraising programs offer samplings of holiday foods from around the world, elaborate displays of holiday trees, wreaths, and centerpieces (for auction to the highest bidder). Also returning again this year, the display of Victorian Gingerbread houses, (with a big surprise to be unveiled at the show), and no Christmas would be complete without Santa Claus. All proceeds generated by these programs go directly to the sponsoring charities. These projects add to our overall show appeal as well as entice many attendees to return during the 4 day event, thus offering an ever increasing flow of shoppers.
